Restorative Justice Course
Getting Ready for Restorative Justice in Schools
Are you a curious educator or administrator looking to expand your knowledge and practice of restorative justice in education (RJE)? If so, our self-paced online course is perfect for you! Designed to help those who are practicing RJE and want to take it school-wide or administrators looking to get the most out of professional development dollars, our course provides comprehensive training on implementing RJE practices in your school community.
Restorative Justice Education (RJE) has become increasingly popular in schools and communities across the country. However, many RJE trainings fall short when it comes to providing a comprehensive understanding of the "why" behind the practices.
That's what makes this training unique. Not only does it offer a deeper understanding of the purpose behind RJE, but it also connects the practices to other important initiatives, such as social-emotional learning (SEL), mindfulness, and trauma-informed practices.
Designed with educators in mind, this friendly and engaging course encourages a deeper understanding of restorative justice principles and equips you with practical tools to foster a more inclusive and harmonious school environment.

The modules are designed to take learners on a journey of understanding the various aspects of whole-school RJE. The course begins by exploring the framework established by Evans & Vaandering, which serves as a foundational piece.
From there, the course moves on to examine the values of RJE and the benefits of whole-school implementation. Subsequent modules focus on the three main components of RJE: nurturing relationships, creating just and equitable classrooms, and transforming conflict and repairing harm.
The final module provides learners with additional information on how to implement RJE and monitor change in behaviors and school culture. Join this course and delve into a comprehensive learning experience on whole-school RJE.
